My empty nest... and a few other thoughts

I'm sooooo depressed. How on earth did I ever agree to #1: Adam leaving 17 days before my due date, and #2: Taking Bella away from me for a week!?!!!??! I dropped them off 5:00am, its been 14 hours since then, and I'm ready to freak out. The only thing I keep hearing is....it will only be till next Wednesday before they return, and that the time will go by fast....thats not working, and no, it doesn't help! I miss Bella sooo much and can't wait till she comes home :(

On another note...17 days till the mystery baby is due! ( as already mentioned)
Only a few Christmas gifts purchased, and the stress and anxiety of the holiday is growing on me.....
Dear Christmas,
Can we continue to celebrate Christmas by listening to music, decorating, eating yummy foods, and participating in fun festive activites- but just postpone the actually Christmas Day just a few more months?

Halloween- trick or treating was so fun! The Olsons came over and baby Cole made the cutest lil elephant! Bella was a spider, Drew a mime, Abby an 80's girl, Brittany a pink lady, chandler the Queen of hearts, and the rest of us followed. Everyone made out well with a ton of candy.

Halloween Festivities were so much fun this year... Bella is at such a fun age where she can really enjoy and participate in Halloween pumpkin carving, house making, and trick or treating. The whole family got involved with the pumpkin carving, and we had a good time deciding which pumpkin was the best! I'll let you decided....

Crisp Autumn Retreat

Upstate New York is so beautiful this time of year. These past two weeks are known to have been the peak opportunity of beauty to see the amazing colors of autumn. I dont have one specific favorite season, but I LOVE the changes that take place, and looking forward to the beauty that comes with each season....
We were able to take advantage of out situation, and travel upstate to visit Palmyra New York and the amazing historic sites. We visited Joseph Smiths Farm, along with the Sacred Grove, Palmyra Temple, Hill Cumorah, and the Whitmer Farm, before traveling up to Niagara Falls, and heading over the boarder to Canada! We stayed in the Pop-Up camper, and enjoyed the fullness of the crisp autumn weather, and amazing color and beauty all around us. Everything was still green and bright, and brought a sweet peace that we were all able to enjoy for our 5 day getaway. I've only posted a few pics.... because the very thought of choosing, uploading, placing them into a slideshow, and labeling the pics makes my hair stand on end... but I've posted just short of a million on my facebook page.... So enjoy!!

Jersey Girl

I've split my Jersey vacation into 3 slide shows... The first one is a lil of this and a lil of that. We dont need to venture out in order to have fun- we spend time playing games, rockband, and hanging out.

The second of the slide shows I dedicated to the Camden Aquarium. We took a family trip up there and spent the day touching sharks, sting rays, and admiring the wonderful world under the sea!!! It was soo much fun, and everyone enjoyed themselves!- Not to mention, we took some really great pictures!

This last slideshow is of our beloved Cape May Beach, and the Cape May County zoo. We love to go to the beach in the winter, and can enjoy it just as much as the summer months. It's so peaceful, and such a beautiful blessing that we've had to grow up next to. Bella also enjoyed the zoo-the animals were all out and about!

No matter what we do- it's always a good time spending time with my family. I'm so lucky to have such amazing brothers and sisters- and such amazing parents that tolerate us all! I love you guys- and can't wait to see you soon xoxo

So, Bella and I returned from a well needed vacation to Cape May. Although 3 weeks may seem enough to re cooperate, it's never enough time. I must say, reality was awaiting our return though. Yesterday, I took down the Christmas tree and decorations. I smiled as I took down what was left of the decorations on the top half of the tree..

Last week, I recieved a tex from my sister, Brittany, telling me that Bella hsould be an Oompa Loompa for Halloween. I laughed it off, and went on with whatever it was I was doing. Then I started thinking, Why not? I could make the costume, and it would be a fun, unique and cute costume for Bella to be- and since we didnt have a costume in mind for her..... So I went to Hancock Fabrics, and Got 1 yard of brown fabric and 2 yards of white fabric, and 2 brown buttons. Then, I went to town.... I think the costume ended up pretty darn cute( if you dont look too closely)- and Bella ended up being the cutest Oompa Loopma I've ever seen!! She was so excited, and loved running around going up and into the few houses we visited. She's enjoying all of her candy, and I'm sure she'd do it again and again. It was such a fun night, and I'm actually lready looking forward to next Halloween. Happy Halloween everyone!!

Star Valley or BUST!

This post is out of order, however, I just found where I saved my pictures, so I wanted to do a quick post with these fun pictures! So September 19th, Dena and I worked the Top of Utah Marathon in Logan. It was a great turn out, and it was even better to watch Landon and Sharman cross the finish line!! I'm so proud of them and really have so much respect for those runners and their accomplishment- it's something I dont think I could ever possibly do, so I enjoy watching them go through with such an amazing task. Anyway, Dena and I had a blast and used this opportunity to meert up, and decided that I would follow her back to her house for 3 days to hang out. She lives in Star Valley, WY. We scrapbooked a ton, and had so much fun hanging out and laughing. I just love being with Dena, she is such great therapy and is an amazing great great best friend. We always laugh till our sides hurt and our eyes tear up, and create such wonderful memories. I'm so lucky to have Dena apart of my life- and will be even more happy when she doesnt live so stinkin far away so I can see her more!!!
Spencer and her took us to Jackson Hole, WY to see the Elf refuge, and shop around town. It's such a neat place with so much history and so many things to do and see.
Thanks so much John, Dena and Spencer for such an amazing time and for being such good friends!

A visit from the east!

On Wed, Oct 7th, my mom came out for a week. It was such a great week! We went to Park City, and had a cabin for the weekend in Liberty. Lauren, and Michael met up with us for a few days and it felt sooo good to be back with some of my family. I miss them so much and love that familiar feeling when we're together. We had so much fun shopping, adventuring outdoors, eating, and hanging out. It was a perfect week and I miss them already. Thanks for such a fun time and for everything you do!

Mommy's little helper

At times, I get asked the question, "What do you do all day?".... and often, I'm at a loss for words. Today, I decided to carry my camera around with me, to log the events that happened throughout my morning.
I usually start up in the kitchen... cleaning up from the night before. Bella loves to follow, and to insist on lending a helping hand on whatever it is I might be doing. She's mommy's little helper. Shes loves to open and close drawers, doors, and whatever else can perform this motion. She also loves to take things OUT of where they belong. This game usually lasts the entire day, and every room in the house has the opportunity of participating (She makes sure that even the closets, and pantry are included). I usually dont mind her "help" in the kitchen, so I decided to have some fun, and get proof of all the help my Bella is to me. I have so much fun with her, and love watching her grow, learn, and figure the world out step by step. Every minute is memory that will last forever.

So, last night, around 11:00 pm- I found myself lying in bed, NOT going to sleep. Instead, I noticed myself tapping my feet and fingers to this "wonderful" toys tunes!!!! So..... is this the life of a mother? Will I forever be singing the songs to the toys and shows of my children? Is it only a matter of time till I'm singing "do do do do do DORA" or "We did it we did it" or Mickeys play house peanut song or whatever. I'm starting to see now where this is headed. But dont worry, I'm not complaining. I love it! There's no other songs I'd rather be singing, and for no other reason. I'm just waiting for Adam to walk in the door, after a long days work, whistling Reading Rainbow. What a happy magical musical family we are!

SNOW DAY!!!!

This past weekend, we went up to Randalls cabin in Liberty/Eden. We went up early Friday, and came home Sunday night. We went snowboarding at Powder Mountain on Sat. It was a blast! There were 12 of us! Sarah & Tyson, Fons & Tyler, Adam & Jessie, Jackson, Colt & Nicole, and Adam & I... and Bella! I just love the snow- it's so beautiful out here, we're so lucky to have such beauty around us! I often think How totally lucky I am having the best of the beach in the summer and the best of the snow in the winter! Its just so peaceful and, yet at the same time, such a rush to be on the mountain. The fresh air, powder, speed, friends and hot chocolate! mmmm Sign me up for net weekend! Adam and I have great friends. Thanks guys for an awesome weekend!

a minor January update

So a little news on what happend this past month... Trying to come back from Vacation with the Altieri gang, and diving into a class I've offered to take for Adam( DON't ask me why?!!!) Adam is working with Wells Fargo Bank as a personal banker, and tearing it up- while playing the role of student, husband and Daddy. And I must throw in, that he does it all so well! Bella turned 4 months old ( :( boohoo ) and recieved her second set of immunization shots. She also had her first play date with a boy Connor at 6 mo and another girl only 5 days older than her, Maggie. She really enjoyed the interaction- although, I must admit, I did too! It was nice to get out of the house and hang out with some other mommys with kids the same age. Bella is really growing up so fast! She can sit up, not straight up, but up- by herself for a bit. She loves to stand and use her legs- and Dad makes sure he works with her often to improve the tone by doing legs squats. She's so vocal now- and loves to laugh ( She gets it from her moma) Busy busy with toys- grabbing them, and making a bee line to her mouth!. She started cereal too- I think she'd rather have chocolate cake( she gets THAT from her papa) but I can tell she's excited for people food, and does pretty well with it. I'm still enjoying every second of being with her- and I'm really so blessed that I get to stay home.
I'm still getting used to motherhood, and I guess I'm a little uptight. A few weeks ago, Bella woke up midnight projectile vomiting everywhere! After the third time in 30 min, in a panic, I called my mom at work ( which was 2:45 a.m. her time) and totally threw her into a panic! hahaha I guess it was just a little stomach bug- that went away soon after. So I guess I learned that not everything is a life threatning 911( untill Adam sees her playing with glitter, or dirt....)- and now that I look back, it was funny. So all is well- and we're just truckin' right along.

Christmas 2008

So for the Christmas, we were able to go back to Jersey. Bella's first Christmas. We had so much fun together. Bellas' first plane ride- she did awesome! We had a layover in Arizona, and for both flights, she slept! Shes' an experienced traveler by now, and you can tell. She did better than some adults did!! In Jersey, we were able to go Christmas Tree shopping at this cool pig farm, where we got to hold these few week old piglets- sooo cute! We carried out our traditonal cookie making- mmmm. And had a blast spending every secone we could together. Christmas was magical (of course) Bella got totally spoiled and still loving every article of clothing and toy. And the family got Wii, and rock band- which is pretty much what we did the entire rest of the stay. lauren and Mike returned from mexico in time for the Holidays, so, of course, it was great to see them ( Although, it was a little harsh having to compare to their beautiful tans). It was so hard to leave- as it alwasy is, but we're planning on a visit sometime within the next month or so.
I'm so thankful for an amazing family, I've been blessed with the best!!

Home for the Holidays

There's no place like home for the Holidays!! Bella and I will be on a plane to Cape May in six days! Needless to say I just can barely hold on much longer. I can't wait to see everyone and for everyone to see Bella- It's just amazing how much she's grown. Every time I see a little newborn, I'm reminded how fast this is all moving. Although, I must say, I'm enjoying every single second of it. I'm so fortunate to be able to stay home with her. Every day shows more and more of her cute little personality. It just melts my heart when I see her huge smile and hear her giggles and laughs- She's my greatest Joy! I just know erveryone back home will find her as cute and adorable as I do ;)

I'm excited for the goold old traditional Altieri Christmas! There's so much excitement and movement- it's hard to even think that the Holidays will ever come to an end. There's decorating the tree, and making Christmas cookies- and this year EVERYONE will be home for Christmas! Michael and Lauren are coming home from Mexico on the 19th at 12:08 am!!! And then Adam will be flying in on the 22nd- I'm so blessed and so incredilbly grateful for my family and I'm just exploding with joy to spend the next month with eveyone- I love you guys!!!!!muahhh

She also had her 2 month check up on Monday, and got her shots. I brought Adam with me, cause I couldn't bare to watch. She actually did really well and only cried a tiny bit! Ok so here are a few clips of the past six weeks..... My mom came out on the 10th of Sept and we had a blast touring around- to SLC and antelope island- to the top of Farmington Canyon and lots of places to eat- I'm so blessed to have such wonderful Mom and I'm so glad she was able to come out and be such a huge help after Bella came. Then my sister Brittany came out on the 11th of Oct and we toured the world! Down to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, SLC, Park City.... and more! IT was great to be able to spend so much time with her. I just cant wait till everyone else gets to meet her! Bella is only 6 weeks old- and has seen more then most people ever do in their entire life!!!!!

So... I know I've been slacking- I'm in the process of uploading all my pics- then I'll make a slideshow of the past 6 weeks. Bella is great- We couldn't be happier to have her here. She is such a joy and such a easy baby! I can take her anywhere, sleep through the night and laugh and play all day. She's seven weeks old come this Sunday, and I cant stand it! Time is going by so fast... if only I could slow down time. I try to take all the pics I can- and it never seems enough! ( What work I have cut out for me in doing her baby book!!!) *a small computer desk ( to replace the oversized one in there now)

So- I was only supposed to go for 8 days, and I ended up staying for 33!!- No Complaints. Going home to Jersey is something I look forward to more than anything!! It was so good to see everyone and really get to spend alot of time with each one- Michael Graduated High School- and is off to college in Myrtle Beach in August- Lauren passed her Massage Therapy exam and is now a LMT!! Everyone is growing up so fast- Where did the years go?
We went to the beach every single day we possibly could- and if not, we spent the time out by the pool- The BBQ's, Campfires, fishing, Beach and quality time spent with everyone was well worth the time, and sooo hard to leave behind- but no need to fear- I will see everyone again soon!
I can't wait to see everyone again- if it's not out here- then I'll be home soon.
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING!!! I'm so grateful for each and every one of my friends and family who love and support me throughout everything. It makes life that much more full and meaningful. "I thank God upon my every remembrance of you" and know that theres never a moment I dont think about you- Lots of Hugs and Kisses

Steve Mission Call

Wednesday, June 4th, we all anxiously woke up early, and drove to the Pitchers house waiting to see what news we would hear.... Linda and Steve went and tracked down the mail man to try and get our mail and hour or two earlier then normal with no success....

Around 10:30 the mail arrived!!! But it wasnt there! With a little disapointment, we went about our day as usual wondering if we would see it tomorrow.
Thursday, June 5th- we recieved a call at 9:30 a.m. telling us to hurry hurry as fast as we could... it came!!!!!
With so much curiousity, excitment, some sadness, and relief- we all sat around awaiting everyones arrival- while Steve anxiously and nervously waited with that big white envelope waiting in his hands.

The room got quite, all eyes on Steve. Rip, tear, pull.... "Dear Brother Pitcher"....You could cut the intensity with a knife...and with a sigh, we heard you have been called to serve in the Asuncion Paraguay mission!!!

It was such an experience that I'm so lucky to have had. We are so proud of Steve for everything that he has become and know he will be an awesome missionary! CONGRATULATIONS STEVE- YOU ROCK!!!

It's about time

So my ticket is booked, and I'm heading to Jersey next week on the 10th! I already have the worst anxiety and I'm so antsy it's a wonder how I'm not already packed and waiting by the door. I know it will come fast, but it seems like ages away- I can't wait to see the whole family... and relax on my favorite beach....
It's a big week: My little tiny brother, who is not that tiny anymore and ( Who I still argue is only 3) will be graduating high school- so a big CONGRATULATIONS and WHOHOO goes out to him. Lauren's birthday is the 14th- I think she is turing 22?... hmmm and then Fathers Day is this sunday. I'll be able to share all this with my family. These are dates ion which I usually miss out on due to my convenient location. So it's something that I'm really really looking forward to.
...Although.... I will be gone for Adams first Fathers Day! :( Even though he doesn't think so. He refused to cave into the idea that this past Mother's Day was my first one- He said it was my first mother-to-be Mothers' Day. Even though. technically I am currently mothering a child?! No big deal though. Right?! I'll just have 2 first Mothers Day.

So thats it- I'm more than Exhilarated over my upcoming trip and will keep you posted on more boring events that take place. Thanks!!xoxo

25 weeks!

So I'm now 25 weeks along, and still loving every second of being pregnant!! I just had my target ultrasound, and they took a 4-D pic of the baby! It's amazing at what technology can do now! The pic is a little weird- Adam says she looks like an alien!haha- but I just look at it as an absolute miracle!

Adam and I just got back from our trip! We flew into Miami, and then cruised to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and Bahamas then spent some time in Orlando. It was such a great time- and it was so beautiful!! I put some pic on the slide show- and as soon as I get my underwater pics back- I'll post them. Enjoy!

Half way mark!

Well today marks my 20 week day! Half way there... with no end in sight. It's amazing how fast this first half has gone- and I'm sure it'll be amazing how loonnnggg the second half will go! I'm already so excited and anxious for whats to come that it's incredible. I bought some tiny little socks the other day- my first baby purchase!!!! Adam and I are thinking we'll name her Alexis and call her Lexie... but I don't know- What do you think?!!!

Well...18 weeks and 3 days along! Our last wednesdays ultrasound proved our little one to be a GIRL! (Despite Adams desperate wanting for a boy)After she confirmed the gender, Adam asked the Dr. what the changes of it changing was...She replied" The chances of it changing? Or the chances of me being wrong?!" haha It was an exciting day, and we can't wait for our little one to come! Thanks for everyones love and support!!!!

Our mini trip out of state

Since we've always wanted to go to Oregon and Washington, we took a road trip 2 weekends ago! We left at 10pm Thursday night, drove through till Seatlle and toured the most beautiful waterfalls. We hung out in Seattle then went down to Astoria, Oregon to see the beautful beaches then into Portland! It was such a fun weekend and the sights were breathtaking!!! (I wish you could see all of the pictures)

So- We had our first baby appointment today! As of Feb 7th 2008, we are 10 weeks and 5 days along- which would make the due date Sept 6th 2008!!! It was the neatest thing watching our little one for the first time wiggle around and watch and listen to the heartbeat!!! We're gonna be parents!!!

For Christmas, Grandma & Pop gave us an awesome trip snowboarding!!! It was so much fun, and a much needed break from work and school. We finally got to enjoy ALL of this beautiful snow that's been so wonderfully dumped on us day after day after day this winter! after all, Utah does have the best snow on earth!!

The lights at Temple Square are all lit up, and we went and walk around Friday night! They are so beautiful.. and plus it was snowing! We got about 6 inches!! It was a great was to ring in the Holiday Season! I posted more pics on photobucket if you want to check them out!

We finally rented out our townhome! We had one lined up, but then this other girl decided she wanted it, and offered to pay more! So, obviously, we chose her. She's moving in June 1st- and we're moving out this weekend! Everything is all lined up.. and I'm working on getting boxes, and packing things up- taking junk to the D.I., etc. It's sad that we're leaving, but so exciting to move! I love moving around- I think it will be so much fun to live in the married dorms with tons of young married couples- it's right on campus, which will be convienent for Adam( Who, by the way, is loving school and doing sooo good at it! He's teaching an anatomy lab this semester!!) And it's still only about a 20 min drive to work. It's just so exciting - this whole: Flying by the seam of our pants!.. It's funny.... I have no idea where we'll be in a year from now... But I LOVE NOT KNOWING! :) Thanks for everyones support We love you guys :)

I just love this picture! Jackson and Kaden had a blast playing in the stream. Adam was dunking their feet in the water, and when Grandpa Bud came up to tell them "let's go" Jackson responded loudly," No! We're getting baptized"! haha We always get a kick out of their comments.

This is at Matts Park in Logan, Utah. We went up for Tubby 's( Adam's cousin) farewell. He's going to New Mexico. It was a beautiful day- and we all got together to take a big family picture ( miserable- by the way). It just took SOOO long! There's no way we could've lally-gagged any longer than we did that day. Anyway, we took this on the way out- Just in case we weren't sick of taking any more pictures :)

These are the Alitieri girls ( with the exception of Abby..), home for Christmas. We always have so much fun together! This shot was taken during a side splitting game of Charades, with props!
